Where 811 Stops, We Continue

811 marks only the public utilities up to the meter or property line. StrataTrace provides supplemental private locating for utilities on the customer’s side of the system.

We locate:

• Private electric lines running to sheds, garages, barns, well pumps, and outbuildings

• Grounded communication lines when detectable with EM methods

• Metallic water services and metal drain or sewer lines when electrically traceable

• Gas lines equipped with tracer wire when present

• Other metallic utilities or structures capable of carrying an EM locating signal

We also help identify abandoned or undocumented metallic utilities so your crew can dig with greater confidence. If a utility cannot be traced electromagnetically, we will inform you on-site and recommend appropriate next steps or alternate detection options.
